Workshop Specifications
Time:
Workshops run from 8:15 am to approximately 4-5 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and from 8:15 to 12:30 on Friday.
Format:
50-70% of the time in the field and 30-50% identifying plants in the lab. Field trips will last from approximately 8:30 to 12:30-1pm. We will then break for lunch and key or identify new unknown plants after lunch until 4 to 5pm.
Lunch:
On your own. Many local restaurants in the area or you may bring your lunch while keying plants
Where:
Indianola Shelter house, Farnsworth Metropark, Waterville, Ohio
What to bring:
Bring a 10x hand lens to assist in keying specimens. Many will also bring a dissecting scope.

Provided:
I will provide everyone with listing of all plants that we may see with some information on them to be used to assist in spelling and note-taking. I will also provide some materials on the parts of sedges, grasses and rushes to assist in keying specimens. To key a plant to species, I recommend Reznicek and Voss, 2012. Please bring other refences that you are familiar with or interested in using.

On your own, car-pooling to the site is encouraged.

Certificate of Completion will be given or emailed out at the end of each workshop
